Are you the type of person who needs your morning java – no matter what the weather? If so, you're in luck! There are tons of great local coffee shops in the Columbus area where you can kick back, relax, and enjoy a delicious cup of fresh-brewed iced coffee.

Whether you need to get your day going or you're looking for an afternoon pick-me-up, you can't go wrong with a quick stop at one of these cafes.

The Roosevelt Coffeehouse

300 E. Long St., Columbus, OH 43215

If you want to enjoy a refreshing iced coffee while supporting an important cause, you'll love paying a visit to Roosevelt Coffeehouse. This specialty coffee shop focuses on impacting people in need by donating its profits to organizations the fight injustices like human trafficking, unclean water, hunger, and more.

Their menu features a variety of iced coffee options including almond or oat milk and flavors like honey, maple, mocha, caramel, and more. While you're enjoying your drink, you'll also want to check out their selection of pastry items. We love their bagels and donuts. They also offer plenty of gluten-free items.

Roaming Goat Coffee Company

849 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43215

Roaming Goat Coffee Company is Central Ohio's premium full-service coffee roaster. They source the highest quality Arabica beans from around the world and expertly roast them to perfection. Stop by their coffee house and enjoy one of the best iced coffees you've ever had.

Want to try your hand at making your own? You can also find their fresh-roasted coffee beans at places like Lucky's Market, Fresh Market, The Hills Market, Weiland's Market, and select Meijer's locations.

Crimson Cup Coffee Shop

4541 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214

The Crimson Cup has been a staple in Columbus since 2007. They're located just a few minutes north of The Ohio State University campus. If you're in a hurry, you can grab your iced coffee from their convenient drive-thru. However, we recommend coming inside so you can enjoy their unique coffeehouse experience.

Crimson Cup has a one-of-a-kind brew bar and offers nitro cold brew on tap, as well as a wide selection of iced and frozen coffee drinks. If you love their coffee (and we know you will!) you can also order bags for home delivery.

Fox in the Snow Cafe

1031 N. 4th St., Columbus, OH 43201

With three locations in the Columbus area, Fox in the Snow Cafe is always a great idea! This bakery and coffee shop makes excellent iced coffee and also services up rustic-style baked goods.

Next time you're faced with a mid-morning coffee craving, visit them in the Italian Village, German Village, or New Albany. You'll be glad you did!

Brioso Coffee

53 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43215

If you're looking for a fun coffee experience, check out Brioso Coffee. Their slogan is "Mean Coffee, Nice People," and this is exactly what you can expect. The folks here take their coffee brewing seriously – so you can simply relax and enjoy a delicious cup of joe.

Whether you visit their High Street or Long Street location, you won't be disappointed. They're happy to make you a cold brew or a nitro cold brew. However, if you're feeling adventurous, we recommend sampling one of their seasonal summer drinks. Some of the current specials include "Petal to the Metal," an iced rose vanilla latte, or the "Life's a Brioso Beach," an espresso tonic served over ice with a lime. Both promise to take your coffee experience up a notch (or two!).

Bottom's Up Coffee

1069 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43222

For a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere and unforgettable cup of java, you can't go wrong with Bottom's Up Coffee. Not only do they make a variety of delicious coffee drinks, but they also support the community. They use a portion of their profits to provide diapers to parents in need and also host various community events to help support their neighbors.

The owners of this shop are dedicated to providing healthy and nutritious food options. All of their drinks and the majority of their food items are also vegan-friendly.

Third Way Cafe

3058 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204

At Third Way Cafe, they see their purpose as much more than making great coffee. This locally-owned coffee shop was built by the community, for the community, with a single purpose: doing good deeds. They've been a local favorite since they opened in 2017, and they pride themselves on being a place where people can come together and enjoy a home away from home.

When you visit, you're welcome to relax, read a book, and take your time enjoying your beverage of choice. We recommend trying an iced latte, a decadent iced mocha, or an iced espresso.

Global Gallery Coffee Shop

3535 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43214

Established in the Short North Arts District of Columbus, Global Gallery Cafe has been a local favorite since 1991. This non-profit, fair-trade coffee shop also carries a selection of products like wine, chocolate, jewelry, hand-crafted goods, and more. It's the perfect place to shop for that hard-to-buy-for friend or family member (or yourself!).

While you're there, plan to spend some time sitting down, relaxing, and enjoying their signature Thunderkiss cold brew or a nitro cold brew made with Ramble Coffee. We recommend ordering some locally-made scones or vegan treats, as they're the perfect complement to a tasty cup of coffee.

Custom Cookies Around Ohio - Cutler Real Estate

Few foods have the universal appeal of cookies, which are a comforting treat for kids and grown-ups alike. It's no surprise that people are turning to cookies to celebrate birthdays, weddings, graduations, and other life events. Make your special occasion even more memorable with custom cookies from these talented bakers around Northeast Ohio, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

Sepsi Sweets

Julie Sepsi wants everyone to have a sweet day. The home-based baker started Sepsi Sweets to do her part in achieving that goal. One of Julie's signature creations is a treat box made from sugar cookies and vanilla royal icing. The covered container is ready to be filled with M&Ms, Hershey Kisses, or any other small surprise. Julie has also used her popular sugar cookies for an updated take on the holiday gingerbread house. If you prefer cake, Julie is equally creative with cupcakes, including her custom-made DIY cupcake kits.

Cookies by Courtney

As an ER nurse, Courtney spends her days helping people heal. During her off-hours, she puts a smile on people's faces with Cookies by Courtney. Her delightfully designed treats look more like keepsakes than edible items. Courtney's cookies have taken the whimsical shapes of basketball shoes, cassette tapes, and Margaritas to commemorate everything from showers to book releases. All cookies are individually heat-sealed in cellophane bags.

NV Sweets

Visit the Instagram page of NV Sweets and the first thing that leaps out is the array of vivid colors. Baker Nikki Vordem Esche goes beyond the standard palette of pastels to use primary colors and other bright hues on her eye-catching cookies. Recent creations from Nikki include "apples" for the teacher, strawberry cookies for a first birthday, watercolor volleyballs, and Mickey and Friends cookies that look like they were created at the Disney studio. In a truly inspired move, Nikki used her chocolate brownie cookie dough to make a box of chocolates that could have come from Godiva.

Six One Four Sweets

Want to add a little international flair to your celebration? Choose some elegant and delicious French macarons from Six One Four Sweets. Macarons are delicate, perfectly round creations with filling layered between two meringue cookies. Dating back to the Renaissance, macarons lend themselves to a wide range of colors and flavors. Baker Alicia Perkins takes full advantage of the versatility of macarons, making them in a number of pastel colors with yummy fillings such as salted caramel, red velvet, strawberries and cream, funfetti, and buckeye. Traditional sugar cookies designed to fit your theme are also available.

AMAEzing Sweet Shoppe

Want your sweets disguised as savory treats? Ashley Combs of AMAEzing Sweet Shoppe recently created an entire cookie BBQ, complete with grills, hot dogs, burgers, oven mitts, and spatulas. Her other crossover designs include a cookie pizza and six-pack of beer. This past spring, associates from Proctor & Gamble ordered cookies from AMAEzing Sweet Shoppe to celebrate a five-year work anniversary. Ashley came up with a set featuring impeccable replicas of the logos from Pampers, Crest, Puffs, and other P&G brands.

Poppy's Custom Cookies

No, Poppy's Custom Cookies does not bear the name of its owner, but poppies do symbolize the vibrant visual appeal of their products. Arielle developed her love of baking during high school, when she began making cakes and cookies for family and friends. Today, Arielle's hobby has grown into a successful business that allows her to stay home with her two daughters. Arielle recently thrilled someone else's daughter with birthday cookies incorporating the youngster's own artwork. Local businesses have ordered cookies with their logos to use as unique giveaways for customers.

SOHO Sugar Co.

When you want some sweet treats, you can't go wrong with a business that has "Sugar" built right in their name. SOHO Sugar Co. is an abbreviated version of the original name, "South of Home Cookies," reflecting the addition of candy and cakesicles to the offerings. During the pandemic, Jordyn Diebler used the time to meld her love of art and baking into a home-based business baking custom-made cookies for all occasions. Double the fun with themed candy boxes or a design-your-own "charcuterie board."

Cristy's Cookie Creations

While Cristy Bowles modestly refers to herself as a "hobby cookier," Cristy's Cookie Creations have been a big hit around Northeast Ohio. Her showstopper piece is an edible "flower arrangement," featuring incredibly intricate detail right down to the individual petals. Even kids too young to remember are charmed by her cookie-based recreation of the Muppet Babies Star Wars characters. Even Cristy's "regular" cookies, such as pumpkin spice latte, are a big hit.

Sugar & Icing Cookie Co.

If Stephanie Rosselot of Sugar & Icing Cookie Co. looks familiar, it may be because she was featured in the summer issue of Sweet & Saucy Living, an online magazine devoted to cookie-making. Stephanie finds that creating her edible works of art provides a welcome balance to her full-time day job as a high-school math teacher. Both jobs complement each other in Stephanie's beginning and intermediate cookie decorating classes, held at Share Cheesebar and McHarper Manor.

That's the Way the Cookie Crumbles

Whether it's milk or coffee, are you a dunker? Or do you prefer your cookies as is?

On the daily menu, you'll find delicious offerings like Boston cream, cherry cheesecake, Death by Chocolate, and a Fruity Pebbles cereal cake donut. Or try a specialty donut, like banana split strawberry cream, Almond Joy, Reese's Cup chocolate cream, or a cake donut with Fruit Loops cereal and white icing. Bigmouth Donut Company

1418 W. 29th St., Cleveland, OH 44113

Peace Love & Little Donuts

3786 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland, OH 44111

As its name indicates, you'll find the donuts smaller than what you're accustomed to at Peace Love & Little Donuts, but many people refer to them as the perfect size. And if your appetite is a little bigger, you can use their smaller size as the perfect excuse to indulge in several of the tasty treats by sampling different flavors. The shop serves cake-style donuts with frosting and a selection of "funkadelic" toppings. Choose from fun flavors like apple pie, M&M, Oreo cheesecake, s'mores, salted pretzel, and many more. Hours are 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday.

Throughout the years, they've been made from scratch, from the dough to the icings, glaze, custard, and white cream. Choose your favorite type of donut – yeast, cake, or long John, and indulge in favorites like red velvet cake with cream cheese icing, a yeast donut with maple icing and bacon topping, or a yeast donut with vanilla icing and Fruity Pebble cereal topping. Hours are 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday.

The yeast donut is fried, glazed, and filled with your choice of lemon meringue or Bavarian crème custard. The shop has also been certified Kosher. Hours are 5 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 5 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, and 6 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Gadabout Doughnuts

1719 Elm St., Cincinnati, OH 45202

Gadabout Doughnuts is a craft doughnut shop that serves an interesting variety of flavors. Try a vibrantly iced blueberry lemon donut or go upscale with a chocolate lemon donut with shortbread. Order online and pick your donuts up on Saturday from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. on Saturday.

Destination Donuts

Buckeye Donuts

Candy Shops Around Ohio - Cutler Real Estate

If you've been itching to feel like a kid in a candy store again, then we have great news! June is Candy Month. That's right — there is a whole month dedicated to the appreciation of candy. If you're in Cincinnati or Columbus, or if you're looking for homes in Northeast Ohio, then you have your choice of candy stores. Here are few top places to satisfy your sweet tooth during Candy Month.

Russell Stover Chocolates

1500 Polaris Pkwy., Columbus OH, 43240

You've probably enjoyed Russell Stover chocolates before, but have you ever visited their store in person? Candy Month gives you the perfect reason to stop by, especially if you're nearby looking at Columbus homes for sale.

Russell Stover Assorted Creams are really popular right now. They feature rich, creamy centers in flavors including vanilla cream, raspberry, and orange. If you're trying to keep your sugar intake down, try some Joy Bites. These tasty chocolate bars are free from all added sugar, colors, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives. They offer all of the chocolate indulgence without as much guilt.

Anthony-Thomas Chocolates

4727 Reed Rd., Columbus OH, 43220

Anthony-Thomas Candy Shoppe has been in business for five generations. They are a mainstay in the Columbus community, and their chocolates are incredibly delicious. For something cute, check out their selection of Ohio-themed gifts, such as their assorted chocolates in a Columbus Skyline box.

Buckeyes are another popular choice at this shop. With creamy peanut butter filling and a sweet milk chocolate coating, they're a really satisfying treat. And if you're not in the mood for chocolate, you can always bring home a bag of sour gummies, cinnamon bears, or black licorice.

Colonial Candy

3620 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214

Do you want to shop for candy online, and then pick up your order when it's ready? Then Colonial Candy is the shop for you to visit during Candy Month. You can build your order on their website, and they'll let you know when it's ready for pickup.

With this online ordering option, it's easy to try a little of everything — and you totally should! The buttercream and brownie cream chocolates are exceptional and are sold in 1/8 pound increments. Then there are peanut clusters with a cream center. They're crunchy and delicious.

Groovy Gumball Candy Company

6846 Wooster Pike, Cincinnati OH, 45227

Here's a fun place to stop if you're in the area looking at Cincinnati homes for sale. Even the name makes you think of fun, colorful candy treats. It would be impossible to step into this shop and not feel excited and upbeat.

Groovy Gumball has an ice cream shop inside, so you can easily enjoy a cone while you're there and then purchase candy to bring home. Their Woodford Reserve Bourbon Balls are a must-buy if you like this kind of thing. They're so soft and creamy inside. Of course, they also carry lots of fun, seasonal, molded chocolates.

Supreme Nut and Candy

6147 Glenway Ave., Cincinnati OH, 45211

Supreme Nut and Candy has the distinction of being the oldest candy store in Cincinnati. So, it is definitely worth a visit during Candy Month, even if you have to drive a little to get there. The decor inside is simple, so the candy can speak for itself. And it has a lot to say.

This shop offers all sorts of pre-packaged chocolates, including hard-to-find products like 100 Grand Bars and Fruit BonBons. If you're trying to be healthy, take a look at some of their nut mixes. The cinnamon almonds are the perfect cross between candy and health food. They also offer some even sweeter options, like Jordan almonds and Boston baked beans.

Fawn Candy

4271 Harrison Ave., Cincinnati OH, 45211

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Fawn Candy (@fawncandy)

Founded by the Guenther family in 1964, Fawn Candy still makes their candy the old-fashioned way in small batches. They make a bit of everything, including hard candies, gummies, and chocolates. The gummy shapes are always changing with the seasons to keep things festive.

The peanut brittle is a tried-and-true favorite at Fawn Candy. If you're in the mood for something even sweeter, try the Savannah Creams. They're a traditional pull candy that melts in your mouth, and they're perfect for early summer.

Malley's Chocolates

27119 Chagrin Blvd., Woodmere OH, 44122

Malley's Chocolates is a family-owned store that first opened in 1935. When they opened their current location in 1994, there were hundreds of people waiting outside in anticipation!

Inside the shop, you'll find an ice cream bar where you can order your favorite customized sundae. But of course, it's Candy Month, so you can't leave without buying some candy, too. Malley's truffles, nut clusters, and assorted boxes have all won awards and will melt in your mouth. The gourmet bars are also really popular. Try the gourmet caramel bar for something truly indulgent.

All City Candy

746 Richmond Rd., Cleveland OH, 44143

If you're looking for nostalgic and retro candy, visit All City Candy in Cleveland. Their old-fashioned candy section is huge, offering options from as far back as 1900! You'll find Mallo Cups, Abba Zabbas, and more. Bring your parents along for a visit, and let them take a trip down memory lane.

All City Candy also offers a great selection of chocolates, bulk candy, and sour candy. They hand-dip chocolate-covered pretzels and cookies in the store, too. Visitors love the giant tubs of bubble gum, Jelly Bellies, and candies that take them back to childhood.

Chocolate Emporium

2169 S. Green Rd., South Euclid, OH 44121

Specializing in artisan chocolates, this shop will have your mouth watering from the moment you step in the door. They offer plenty of gluten-free, vegan, and kosher options and have been a staple in Northeast Ohio since 1993.

Visitors to Chocolate Emporium really love the almond bark, which is made with whole almonds and chocolate that's the perfect balance between crisp and melty. The bulk bourbon truffles are another must-try option, as are the cherry cordials. You can even buy some of their house-made chocolate chips to take home and bake cookies with.

It's a Sweet Month

Where will you be celebrating Candy Month in Northeast Ohio? Let us know. We're as excited as you are to try some new candy.
