Easter is right around the corner and we couldn't be more excited. What could possibly be better than the warmer spring weather, colorful decorations, and countless opportunities to indulge in chocolate and marshmallow Peeps? Luckily, Cincinnati loves this holiday just as much as we do and offers a ton of events throughout the area to help us celebrate! We rounded up a few of our favorite family-friendly festivities happening in the Cincinnati area this year, including Easter egg hunts, eggstravagant breakfasts and plenty of photo opportunities with the famous bunny himself. Have fun!

Easter Bunny Express

Where: Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad When: April 6, 13-14, 19-20, & 27, Times Vary Cincinnati Easter Events

Hop aboard the Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad's Easter Bunny Express for an unforgettable Easter experience! Before traveling to the Lebanon Sports Complex for a special visit with the Easter Bunny, children will have the opportunity to take part in an Easter egg hunt. Plus, fun spring concessions will be available during the journey! You can get your tickets here.

Easter Eggstravaganza Craft & Vendor Show

Where: Lohrey Recreation Center When: April 6, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Get a little Easter basket shopping in at the Lohrey Recreation Center this season. Peruse goods from over 40 crafters, food vendors and local companies while your children hunt for eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny. There's a little something for everyone at this free, family-friendly event!

Easter in Candyland Craft Fair

Where: Fairfield Community Art Center When: April 6, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Follow the bunny trail into the Fairfield Community Arts Center this Saturday for a Candyland paradise! Visit with Peter Cottontail, enjoy a delicious sweet tooth breakfast, and find some hidden gems at the craft fair while surrounded by sugary decorations. You can get your tickets for the breakfast here.

Helicopter Egg Drop 2019

Where: The River Church, Middleton When: April 13, 9-11 a.m. Cincinnati Easter Events Children sixth grade and under will be able to experience thousands of eggs falling out of a helicopter during the annual Helicopter Egg Drop at the River Church in Middleton.! After the egg drop, you can get your photo taken with the Cottontail Brothers, participate in a cupcake walk, get your face painted and more. This event is limited to 550 children, so make sure to register here and reserve your spot.

Egg Hunt

Where: Washington Park When: April 13, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Over-the-Rhine's biggest egg hunt is back and better than ever, featuring over 10,000 candy-filled eggs, Mr. Bunny himself, a petting zoo with animals from Sunrock Farm, and many more fun activities. Children ages 10 and under are welcome to participate, but don't forget your basket!

Easter Egg Scramble

Where: Beachler Field When: April 13, 11 a.m. The Easter Egg Scramble at LifePoint Community Church has quickly become a Miamisburg favorite over the past six years. The Beachler football field will be split into three age categories, and over 15,000 eggs filled with candy, toys and prizes will be spread out throughout the grass. You can register for the event here. Getting to the field early is recommended as the eggs go quickly!

Independence Egg Hunt

Where: Memorial Park, Independence When: April 13, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Cincinnati Easter Events Visit the city of Independence this Easter for one of their most popular events of the year: their annual Easter egg hunt! This family event is free and will give you the opportunity to win various prizes, family passes to Cincinnati destinations and so much more. Registration is recommended.

The Estate Egg Hunt

Where: The Estate at Sunset Farm When: April 13, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Bring the entire family out to the Estate at Sunset Farm for an unforgettable Easter experience! Spend this spring day visiting the stunning estate and visiting with the gorgeous Shire Horses. The egg hunt will begin at 11:30 a.m. While this is a free event, attendees are encouraged to make a donation to benefit their beloved horses.

Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Mercy McAuley High School When: April 13, 1-2:30 p.m. Mercy McAuley High School invites you and your children to join them in an Easter egg hunt celebration full of prizes, activities and other games. This hunt is free and open to children nine-years-old and under. Registration is recommended.

City of Union Easter Egg Hunt

Where: Union Presbyterian Church When: April 20, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Akron/Canton Easter Events Residents in and around the beautiful city of Union are welcome to visit the Union Presbyterian Church for an egg hunt the day before Easter! There will be two hunts for different age ranges and light refreshments will be provided. Plus, a certain festive bunny will be making an appearance so make sure to bring your camera!

Easter Egg Hunt in Amelia Village

Where: Spencer Shank Memorial Park When: April 20, 11 a.m. Celebrate spring and Easter with a festive egg hunt at Spence Shank Memorial Park. Scour the landscape for eggs, get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny and so much more! This event is free and open to children ages 10 and under.

Easter Celebration

Where: Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden When: April 20, 12-5 p.m. This year, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden will once again hold one of the most popular Easter events in the area. This exciting event will include treat stations throughout the park, special animal enrichments and visits with the Easter Bunny. While you explore the zoo, be sure to keep an eye out for the golden eggs. If you find one, turn it into the Welcome Center for an incredible prize!
